Children Problems – Tips to Prevent Over-Exposure to Mass-Media Violence
Executive summary about children problems by Stella Mak However
When children over-rely on the television, radio and internet for their information source, we can get an increase in children problems. No parents would want to see children problems such as bullying, fighting or other violent related acts resulting from their children. Below are some tips on what you can do as parents to prevent your children from being overly exposed to mass-media violence. 1. Get your child used to reading publications designated to his age category and to watch television programs of the same kind. They are less aggressive. 2. Custom him to analyze carefully all that he hears and to not consider that all information are necessary real just because their way of presentation is a spectacular one. 3. Talk to him about all news events. 4. Try to identify the child’s predilections when it comes to news and his habits as a media consumer. To prevent any children problems like disobedience or other aggression related behaviour, it is crucial that you impose a tighter rule about the television programmes that you allow them to watch.
